Have been a classroom teacher past four years, three of which were in inner city urban areas. As an 8th grade teacher, I was charged with having TWO SOLs in one year to tackle. first the writing, then the reading. It is a high watermark year for those students. I have won two Virginia Press Associations Awards when I worked as a journalist,. I was the PTO president for my son's elementary school for to years, but worked on the PTO in the capacity of yearbook production, design, candid photos.
